Driven By Vipassana (2005)
For BOS, Buddhist network in The Netherlands, I produced a documentary film following the life of a school of young children living in the hills of Northern Thailand far away from city life, who learn Buddhas way: Vipassana meditation. Getting in touch with their first wisdom. Soon I will return to complete this story: six year later when some of them are studying at the University while others are helping their family in rice fields or rubber plant.
Tuff Girls (Fight Girls) (2009)
For a US Producer, I shot and directed part of a US Televsion documentary series (Fight Girls) in Thailand, and Pay per view online live show. Covering a female American Muay Thai boxer and her brother who came to Thailand to train the hard way, going for the Thai experience. Visiting trainingcamps for stunt fighters and the underground maffia and Muay Thai scene in Thailand. Produced by: Ed Burt & Master Toddy
The Projectionist (2006)
For a German Producer who worked on a collective of worldwide stories of local outdoor film projectionists that project films in villages, where there is no cinema. I covered a village in Thailand, and made a small documentary film about a projectionist who projects terror movies in a Buddhist temple for children.

Splash of Colors is a Television documentary series that follows the life of adventure-seeking artist: Robert Hagan. An Australian painter who takes the viewer on a facinating ride of both adventure and painting. Produced for Discovery HD. I shot and edited parts of their series of the episodes in Thailand. Monocle: Bangkok Community Radio (2008)
For Monocle (UK) I Directed and shot a reportage about Bangkok's 'quality of life' radio station, providing a lifeline in a city where public services are haphazard at best. The all-talk format of RDCK is a call to action and an attempt to solve problems via the community and its bulging Roladex. Lawyers, doctors, bus drivers, midwives and snake catchers are glued to the frequency. Monocle's Bangkok correspondent David Fullbrook tuned in for the day.
Making of: Sniper III (2004)
For Living Films who co-produced the third Sniper feature with Tom Berenger in Thailand, I shot a small behind the Scenes reportage of several scenes in the film.
Tsunami Phuket, Thailand (2004)
I shot a huge amount of footage for German Television reportages (for ZDF, ARTE, SAT1 and RTL) covering the Tsunami disaster in 2004. Following and finding German survivors in Phuket, Thailand. This is just a tiny amount that is not to hard to bare.

Journey Through Northern Thailand (2009)
A short promo video for Silver Dove Center in Chiang Rai, a silver village in Thailand for retired people from Switserland. Showing the beauty of Chiang Rai by combining fresh footage with older stock material. This video was combined with interviews of German and Swiss people that already enjoy residing in Thailand for many years.

An Iranian Fashion House asked me to create a behind the scenes photoshoot sessions, and a catwalk video in a selected Island in Malaysia for their in-house and online promo. The making of is shot with a small 300FPS camera, while the catwalk video is shot with a pro cam.
Amaravati Ayurvedic Spa (2006)
For the Amaravati, an Aryuvedic Spa in the hills of Northern Thailand we produced this film. Highlighting the spa amids the beautiful natural surroundings. A promotion combined with a 20 minute introduction of Aryuvedic Spa. DP/Cameraman/Editor: Maurice Spees
In the Middle of Everything (2009)
For International Consultancy Europe BV (ICE BV), I produced this short low budget film with as theme: "I heart Bangkok." Shot within 48 hours for the Bangkok Film Festival. Using one actress and one man crew (candid camera) and the rest is all real. Experimenting how Bangkok copes with extraordinary people compared to other cities around the world. The film is based on many true stories of village children outside of Bangkok, who move to Bangkok to work, but find a totally different lifestyle then they expected.
The Girl with the Movie Camera (2009)
A short pitch for a children feature film, which will be shot in 2011. A film about a mute genius Russian girl who tries to express her feelings, but is continuously misunderstood by everyone around her. She moves with her mother to Asia, and a new school, where her classmates seem to live in a mysterious computer game world. She steals a camera to express her own truth, a truth that can only be revealed to us through her film. Written & Directed by: Maurice Spees

For the closure of the old Effenaar in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, I captured the entire event into a short music video.
Gaiana - Silenzio delle Sirene (2010)
The Dutch Ambient Artist "Gaiana", produced by the Italian label Blue Hour Sound asked me to dive back into my videoart background and produce a music video in the style of my Dancing Mandalas™. Again using real asian dancers and no computer animation. Used during their performance.

Thailand Yes Yes Culture (2008)
While shooting a street performance in Thailand for our test performance, suddenly this young woman showed up and stealed the show. No one know who she is but she astonished all viewers, and was so amazing for someone with no previous performance experience, that I decided to make a film with her.

For the SE-Asian Contemporary theatre Performance "Mother of Water" I produced and directed the music and video art. This is part of the solo artwork that was shown during the live performance. A video in the mind of a pregnant woman who gets positive HIV blood test results, because of being infected by her own husband.
